Recently, leveraging its technological accumulation and global service capabilities in the field of new building materials, Canglong Group supplied 50mm thick PU (polyurethane) sandwich panels to a US customer for use in the wall panels and roofing systems of their prefabricated house.
The supplied PU sandwich panels feature a sandwich structure of double-sided color-coated steel sheets and a high-density polyurethane foam core material, with a total thickness precisely controlled at 50mm, balancing lightweight design with strong thermal insulation performance. The core material has a density of over 40kg/m³ and a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022W/(m·K), improving energy efficiency by 30% compared to traditional rock wool boards, effectively meeting stringent US building energy efficiency regulations (such as IECC standards). The double-sided color-coated steel sheets use 0.5mm thick galvanized steel substrates coated with a PVDF fluorocarbon coating, providing weather resistance for over 25 years, easily withstanding the extreme temperature differences and UV radiation in North America.

Canglong further refined the product design to meet the performance requirements of different parts. The wall panels utilize a concealed nail splicing process, with joints filled with specialized sealing strips, achieving airtightness to ASTM E283 standards and eliminating thermal bridging. The roof panels are reinforced for wind uplift resistance, secured with FM-certified wind-resistant clamps, capable of withstanding hurricanes with wind speeds up to 180 mph (approximately 290 km/h), making them suitable for the high-wind-pressure areas of the southern coast of the United States.
