Recently, containers loaded with high-strength galvanized C-purlins were sent from the Canglong Factory, directly to Qingdao Port, and then transported by sea to Malawi. This batch of components is specially customized for the roof and wall support systems of local large-scale storage centers. With its three core advantages of lightweight structure, ultra-long durability, and extremely fast installation, it provides strong support for the construction of high-standard warehouses in tropical climates.

Advantages of galvanized C-purlins

The double-sided hot-dip galvanizing process (zinc layer ≥275g/㎡) is used to form a dense passivation film to face the harsh environment of Malawi with high temperature, high humidity and long rainy season. It has been verified by the salt spray test that it can still guarantee a maintenance-free period of more than 25 years within 50 kilometers of the coastline, completely solving the problem of corrosion and deformation of traditional black steel purlins.

The optimized design of C-shaped section (common specifications: C160~C300) has ultra-high section modulus, and the load-bearing capacity of a single pipe is 40% higher than that of ordinary square pipes. In the common column-free space of 12-18 meters in warehouses, they only need to be erected at intervals of 1.2-1.5 meters to carry the composite load of color steel plates + insulation layers, significantly reducing the amount of steel used by more than 15%.

Standardized punching design (hole diameter 14-16mm) is compatible with M12 high-strength bolts, enabling welding-free assembly. The measured installation efficiency reaches 120 linear meters/working day, which is three times faster than the angle steel welding process, perfectly matching the short construction period requirements in the African rainy season. The edges of the components are deburred to eliminate the risk of workers being scratched.

Customized service empowerment project implemented

• Climate adaptation design: In view of the temperature difference between Malawi’s dry and rainy seasons (15℃~35℃), Q235B base material and pre-arching technology are used to eliminate thermal expansion and contraction stress.
• Container loading optimization: Innovative three-dimensional stacking scheme (adding buffer rubber pads between layers) increases the loading capacity of a single container by 30%, reducing shipping costs.
• Localized support: An installation positioning template and torque parameter table are included with the product, and remote video guidance can be provided with the local construction team.
